.SSA Estensione file

An SSA file is a game data file used by Children of the Nile (CotN), a city-building game set in ancient Egypt. It contains data used to load a CotN campaign, which consists of linked scenarios. Players can create SSA files using CotN's Campaign Editor.

Children of the Nile, also known as Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile, is a game in which players construct buildings, issue edicts, and tend to citizens' needs in an ancient Egyptian city. Players can play singular city-building scenarios, or they can play a linked series of scenarios known as a campaign.

Campaigns are saved in SSA files. For example, the game includes a default Grand Campaign, which is saved in an SSA file. Players sometimes create custom campaigns and share them with each other over the Internet. These campaigns are also saved as SSA files.

You can open an SSA file in Children of the Nile (Windows). To do so, place the file in the game's Campaigns directory, located in one of the following places:

• ~/​Documents/​Tilted Mill/​Children of the Nile/​Campaigns
• C:/​Program Files (x86)/​Tilted Mill/​Children of the Nile/​data/​Campaigns

Then, open Children of the Nile and select Campaigns → Other Campaigns. The campaign your SSA file contains should appear in the campaign list.
