Qu'est-ce qu'un fichier SCH ?
A SCH file is a schematic file used by the gEDA suite, a collection of open-source tools for designing electronic schematics and PCB layouts. It contains a network of interconnected symbols, representing electronic components and connections, including the gEDA/gaf format version, symbols, pictures, and their XY coordinates, which define the nets, buses, and components of the schematic. SCH files are crucial in transitioning designs from conceptual stages to physical manufacturing.
Plus d'informations
Electronics engineers and designers commonly use SCH files to capture schematics during the circuit design process. Once the schematic is complete, the files can be used for generating a printed circuit board (PCB).
Comment ouvrir un fichier SCH
You can open SCH files with gEDA. To open an SCH file with the gEDA suite, select File → Open.

EAGLE Schematics File

An SCH file contains a schematic, or visual diagram, of a PCB (printed circuit board) created with EAGLE PCB design software. It stores symbols (for logic gates) connected by lines, which represent buses. EAGLE users often create actual circuit board (.BRD) files from SCH files.
Plus d'informations
Autodesk EAGLE (formerly CadSoft EAGLE) is a CAD application that professional electronics designers use to create PCB schematics and designs. EAGLE includes a schematic editor designers use to create electronic circuit schematics and save them as SCH files.
After a designer creates a schematic, they can use EAGLE to place their schematic within a physical circuit board design. Those designs are saved as BRD files.
REMARQUE: Prior to version 6, EAGLE SCH files were saved in a proprietary text and binary format. Version 6 and later SCH files are saved in the XML format.
Comment ouvrir un fichier SCH
You can open an SCH file in a variety of PCB design applications, including:
- Autodesk EAGLE (cross-platform)
- Altium Designer (Windows)
If you do not have access to any of the above applications, the easiest way to view the circuit board schematic contained within an SCH file is to upload it to Altium 365 Viewer, a free, online CAD file viewer (web).

A SCH file is a help project used by Solutions Etcetera SuperCard, a discontinued visual authoring tool for macOS. It contains data for a project, including indexable help content, which assists in extending the SuperCard Help System.
Plus d'informations
Developers who are enhancing or customizing the help documentation of software projects developed within SuperCard are most likely to create SCH files. These files are integral to building navigable and searchable help systems that improve user guidance.
REMARQUE: While SuperCard and its associated file types like SCH were widely used in creating multimedia applications on classic Mac OS and early macOS versions, their use has declined as newer tools have emerged.

An SCH file is a schematic design file created by KiCad, a free, cross-platform electronic design automation (EDA) software. It contains the layout of an electronic circuit as drawn on the program's schematic canvas, including components, wires, nets, labels, and electrical connections. SCH files define and organize the electrical design of a circuit before it is translated into a physical printed circuit board (PCB)
Plus d'informations
Engineers, electronics hobbyists, and students commonly use SCH files as part of the circuit design workflow. Designers can place components, connect them with wires, and add annotations or electrical rules directly in the schematic editor. The software ensures that all connections are properly captured so that the design can be accurately transferred to the PCB layout stage.
Comment ouvrir un fichier SCH
You can open SCH files with KiCad in multiple ways. For example, you can open the .PRO or KICAD_PRO project that contains the SCH file (the PCB editor automatically recognizes the layout file associated with the project) or by selecting File → Open with the KiCad PCB editor.
Since SCH files store information in plain text, you can also open them with a text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad or Apple TextEdit.

An SCH file is a scheme file used by Golden Software Strater, a program for visualizing borehole and well log data. It contains classification information, such as lithology names, keywords, and data ranges, along with display properties including lines, text, symbols, fills, and colors used to represent geological features. SCH files help users apply consistent formatting and classification across multiple borehole logs and other subsurface visualizations.
Plus d'informations
Strater users typically create and edit SCH files with the Scheme Editor, which is available from the Tools → Scheme Editor menu. Geologists, hydrogeologists, environmental scientists, and engineers commonly use these files to create reusable schemes for displaying lithology, well construction, and other geological information consistently across projects.
Comment ouvrir un fichier SCH
You can open SCH files with Golden Software Strater in Windows. To open an SCH file with Strater, select File → Open.

An SCH file contains a schematic, or visual diagram, of a printed circuit board PCB created with ExpressSCH design software. It stores an electronic schematic as it is laid out on the program's drawing canvas and includes symbols (for logic gates) connected by lines, which represent buses.
Plus d'informations
The ExpressSCH Schematics (SCH) file type is one of several schematic file types that use the .sch file extension. The ExpressSCH file type is a proprietary file format that is not supported by other Schematics programs. You can only open an ExpressSCH file with ExpressSCH software.
To open an SCH file with ExpressSCH, select File → Open.... To export an SCH file to a .BMP file with ExpressSCH, select File → Export schematic image....
Once a user finishes designing an electronic schematic, he passes it to the PCB design process. After the PCB is created, it is passed on to the manufacturing process to be assembled and put to use in various electronic products.
REMARQUE: ExpressSCH is included with the ExpressPCB software package.
