What is a TG file?
A TG file is a guitar tablature document created by TuxGuitar, a free tab editor. It contains a musical score and accompanying guitar tablature. TG files often contain multiple tracks, used to chart notes and tablature for additional instruments (such as multiple guitars).
More Information
TuxGuitar is a musical score composition program used primarily to chart guitar tabs. It is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
After a user creates or transcribes a score and accompanying tablature in TuxGuitar, they can save the document they've created as a TG file. This allows them to continue editing their score and tablature in the future if needed. Users can also export their score and tablature in many common document, score, and audio formats, to view, edit, or listen to the score they've created with other programs.
