File created by E-Transcript Manager, a program used for creating certified electronic transcripts; contains transcript data recorded from a courtroom hearing; most commonly used by court reporting firms when creating legal transcripts for attorneys; created to reduce the file size of emailed transcripts.

E-Transcripts may also use the ".exe" extension, which allows the transcript to be viewed from a self-contained file. However, email filters often stop the delivery of ".exe" files.
