What is a ULT file?
An ULT file is an audio module created by UltraTracker, a music tracker for MS-DOS. It contains data used to play synthesized music. For example, an ULT file contains a record of a song's tracks, notes, note durations, and properties.
Those who had Gravis UltraSound soundcards could use UltraTracker to create music to be played using the soundcard. Later, other music trackers included support for the ULT format.
Different versions of UltraTracker save ULT files in slightly different formats. However, most apps that can play one ULT file can play them all.
How to open a ULT file
You can open an ULT file and play the music it describes with VideoLAN VLC media player (multiplatform), MikMod (multiplatform), Nullsoft Winamp (Windows), or Vitamin/CAIG ZXTune (Android).
