  • Simple photo organization interface

  • OneDrive storage space for automatic upload and mobile access

Microsoft Windows Photos (also known as Microsoft Photos) is a photo organizer that allows you to take, edit, and share photos. It is bundled with the Windows operating system.

Windows Photos allows you to use your built-in camera or connected webcam to take photos and panoramas through the Camera app. You can also import photos from cameras, phones, USB flash drives, etc. You can view your photos in a variety of ways, whether you want to look at them in apps or on your lock screen. Once you take or import your photos, Windows Photos gives you tools to edit them. You can adjust the photo's color and lighting, crop and rotate the photo, touch up any blemishes, and apply different effects.

Once you are happy with your photos (or at least somewhat content), you can store your photos in OneDrive (previously SkyDrive). This storage space allows for easy sharing and access from just about anywhere you go. You can also automatically upload photos and videos from your camera or phone to OneDrive. Windows Photos also enables you to share your photos directly from the app. You can share your photos by posting them online, emailing them to friends and family, or printing them. The app allows you to use apps from the Windows Store to post to social networking and photo sharing sites, such as Facebook and Flickr, as well.

Although Microsoft Windows Photos doesn’t offer as advanced features as some other photo organizers, it is plenty helpful for the basic Windows user. It offers a simple photo organizing interface, useful editing tools, and convenient storage space. The storage space is especially handy if you use multiple devices that run Windows, such as a PC, phone, and tablet. If you are a Windows user that wants a simple but helpful photo organizer, you should try Microsoft Windows Photos.
