What is an HBX file?

Binary to Hexadecimal text file created for Mac computers; contains compressed and encoded data that was originally in an 8-bit binary format, but now is in a 7-bit text format; typically used for transferring binary images, documents, and multimedia data using a textual format in email attachments.
