File created for testing programmable logic device (PLD) designs; contains instructions for one or more test cases, such as for combinational logic checks; used for debugging printed circuit boards (PCBs), integrated circuits (ICs), and embedded systems.

The SVF format conforms to the Joint Test Action (JTAG) standard, which is also known as the Standard Test Access Port and Boundary-Scan Architecture. SVF files are stored in an ASCII text format and can be edited with a text editor.
SVF files are often used by automatic test equipment (ATE) that attach to debug ports within PLDs to perform the tests. PLDs that do not have debug ports often provide other mechanisms for stepping through logic tests.
注: Serial Vector Format files may also be stored in a binary format in .XSVF files.

SVF graphics support the following object types: text, points, lines, rectangles, circles, arcs, polylines, and bezier curves. The format also supports colors, layers, pen widths, and fills.

An SVF file is a Hexagon Intergraph Smart Review project file. It contains multiple SmartPlant Review .VUE files, which have been packaged together as a single file. Combining multiple VUE files (and their associated attribute files) into a single SVF file allows Smart Review users to view all the files within a single view session.

Intergraph Smart Review is a visualization environment that allows process plant, power plant, and marine structure designers to review 3D models of complex structures. Typically, designers load and review models saved in the VUE format.
However, if designers want to review multiple models within the same Intergraph Smart Review runtime (for example, because keeping multiple Smart Review windows open would tax their computer's memory), they can use Smart Review to combine those models into a single SVF file. Then, the designers can load one or more VUE files from the SVF file, and quickly unload opened VUE files (to free up memory) as needed.

You can open an SVF file with Hexagon Intergraph Smart Review (Windows). To do so, select File → Open from the program's menu bar. Then, navigate to and open your SVF file.
