A 3DC file is a training course file used by Computrainer 3D, a simulation software for RacerMate's CompuTrainer and Velotron electronic bicycle ergometers/trainers. It contains a racing track, including road and elevation characteristics. 3DC files are used for storing actual real-world courses, as well as rehabilitation courses for physical therapy.

RacerMate software interacts with a stationary exercise bicycle and responds to motion as the user pedals and steers the bicycle. In this manner, riders can train for cycling events using simulation.
