An SPX file is a CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) file that contains stitching instructions for creating embroideries with a Pfaff sewing machine. It stores a pattern, which may be a flower, text, image, or other design. SPX files are supported by various Pfaff sewing machines from 2010 and later.

You will most likely only encounter a Stitch Pattern SPX file if you use a Pfaff sewing machine to embroider fabric. Embroidery programs, such as BALARAD Embird, may also export patterns as SPX files. They can also be downloaded from sewing websites.

You can view and modify SPX files with an embroidery program that supports the format. Then you can place it on a USB flash drive and insert it into a Pfaff sewing machine to load and stitch the design onto a material.

POZNÁMKA: Pfaff sewing machines manufactured before 2010, like the Pfaff 7570, do not support the SPX file format.

System Information report created by the System Information application, which is included with OS X; contains information that describes the configuration of your Mac's hardware and software.

You can choose what information is contained in the SPX report when you save the file. Different kinds of information includes how much RAM is installed, networking features, number of USB ports, and connected Thunderbolt devices.

POZNÁMKA: The SPX file can be created by the System Information application or the system_profiler command in Terminal. Depending on the version of OS X, System Information may be called System Profiler.
