Playdate is a handheld video game console created by Panic. Game developers can use the Playdate Software Development Kit (SDK) to create games for Playdate. After a developer has finished developing their Playdate game, they can use the Playdate Compiler (pdc) to compile their game into an executable package. These packages are saved as PDX files. In Windows and Linux, PDX files appear as normal directories, which you can open and examine as you would any other directory. In macOS, PDX files appear as macOS packages.
