An AXX file is a project package created by Corel Pinnacle Studio, a video-editing program for Windows. It contains a video project, which includes settings and video timeline information, along with media imported into the project (unlike .AXP project files that store references to the media). Pinnacle Studio users save projects as AXX files to share or back them up.

Pinnacle Studio is a consumer-level video editor people often use to create home movies and slideshows. While users typically save projects in the default AXP format, they may save them as AXX files to transfer or back them up since it stores them all in one file. To save a project as an AXX package, select File → Save Movie As Package.
