.KPL File Association 3
A KPL file is a color palette used by Krita, a cross-platform, open source digital sketching and painting program. It is a Zip-compressed package that contains two .XML files and two .ICC files. The KPL file format was introduced with the release of Krita 4.0.
Color palette files contain a collection of colors for use in drawing and image editing programs. These colors are organized using color management systems designed to show colors consistently across different programs and devices.
KPL files organize colors by group, using the colorset.xml file contained within the KPL file, and by ICC profile, using the profiles.xml and ICC files contained within the file. This hierarchy ensures the colors you use within Krita look the same on your PC as your friend's or co-worker's.
To view a KPL file or any other color palette in Krita, you must first open the program's palette docker. Krita supports Gimp, Microsoft RIFF, Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Scribus, and Swatchbooker palettes, in addition to KPL palettes.
