Overture is a popular scorewriter available for Window and macOS. It allows composers to create, edit, and play back musical compositions. Most notably, Overture allows composers to play scores in time with video, making the app popular among film score composers.

In version 5, Overture began saving composers' scores as OVEX files. The OVEX format replaced the .OVE format, used by previous versions of Overture.

Select File → Open... from Overture's menu bar.
Navigate to and open your OVEX file.
