Software Overview

Roxio Creator (formerly Easy Media Creator) is a popular multimedia software suite for Windows. It is often used for creating DVDs and Blu-ray discs and also includes audio, video, and image editing tools.

Creator can be used to create video, photo, and music compilations. It accepts input from a wide range of video sources, including AVCHD camcorder streams and other high definition video formats. Imported multimedia files may be edited on a 32-track timeline to overlay video clips, photos, music, and transitions. Finished movies can be burned to disc or exported to several different video file formats. Video can be exported to common video players, including iPhone, Kindle Fire, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 devices. Or you can share your media to Facebook, YouTube, Google+, and Google Drive. 3D video projects can also be developed and exported. Creator also offers DVD authoring tools with built-in themes and DVD menu customization options.

When creating a music compilation, audio may be ripped from a CD or DVD, or imported directly from the hard drive. Users may also record and edit sound clips using Creator’s Sound Editor, which includes tools for trimming audio and creating audio mashups. Audio files can be burned to an audio CDs or exported to music file formats, such as .MP3 and .M4A. Creator can also create playlists and export music to iTunes or other audio players.

Creator includes PaintShop Pro photo and image editing software. Users can organize, touch up, frame, and enhance existing digital photos as well as create panorama shots and share pictures on social media sites like Facebook, Google+, and Flickr. Edited pictures can be added to slideshows using the video production and slideshow tools included in the Creator suite.

Creator allows users to completely customize their audio, video, images, and DVD and Blu-ray discs. It supports a wide range of multimedia file formats, can capture video from Internet streams or digital camcorders, and can make jewel case and disc labels, which can be printed from a home printer.
