MODPlug Player is an audio playing application that was created to provide a free method for people to access tracked music. It was discontinued in 2001 but is still available to download. It was replaced by the spin-off OpenMPT.

There are many unique features that ModPlug Player has that makes it a very useful program to this day. It supports a large number of module formats such as .DMF, .DSM, .MOD, and .FSM. ModPlug Player also is capable of sound enhancing effects including automatic gain control, reverb, and bass expansion. The program can even mix two modules at the same time and individually adjust their pitch and tempo.

Although ModPlug Player was discontinued, it is still a popular tracker due to its unique features. If you are looking for a similar program that is still supported you can't go wrong with its successor, OpenMPT.
