Software Overview
gedit is an open source text editor for the GNOME desktop environment. GNOME runs on the Linux operating system and is developed by volunteers and paid contributors that make up the GNOME Project.
gedit supports several file types including the .TXT, .PY, .LST, and .INFO files.
