Software Overview

FileMaker Pro Advanced is a data management system that helps businesses perform tasks such as tracking inventory, organizing projects, and managing contacts. It is run on the Mac, Windows, and iOS platforms and in a web browser.

In FileMaker Pro Advanced, you create your database from a predefined template, by importing your data from a spreadsheet, or by creating a new database from scratch. Predefined templates are based on a variety of business-related functions, such as finance (expense reports), people & assets (contacts), projects (event management), administration (meetings), and resources (inventory). You can also build your database by importing data from spreadsheets created by other applications, such as Microsoft Excel. The third option is to build your database from scratch. This option requires more work but allows you to completely customize your database by defining your own fields and layouts.

A database in FileMaker Pro Advanced is organized into tables, which store records that are made up of a collection of fields. Fields include the item name, model, serial number, location, notes, purchase date, and cost. The application gives you control over how you view your data, search your records, and sort your data fields in your records. You can view your data in different chart views, making it easier to compare and contrast your data. You can also generate custom reports that can be exported in PDF or Office Open XML .XLSX format. FileMaker Pro Advanced also provides a training center, resource center, forum, video tutorials, and demos you can reference for help.

FileMaker Pro Advanced uses a proprietary format for saving data but also allows you to export your data to a variety of files, including .PDF, .XLSX, .DBF, .HTML, .CSV, and .XML. You can also share databases with team members via the web or iOS devices with the FileMaker Go app.

FileMaker Pro Advanced is a great choice for organizing your business. It allows you to customize your database to best fit your business needs and is compatible with other data management applications, such as Microsoft Excel. If you’re just starting a business or looking to change your business management software, try FileMaker Pro Advanced.
