An SDZ file is a sound pack used by a Roland FANTOM digital audio workstation (DAW). It contains a collection of related audio tones (.SVZ files). Roland provides SDZ files to users' via an online tone library.

Meer informatie

Composers, musicians, and audio engineers use FANTOM series DAWs to create and edit music. These DAWs include an electronic keyboard, a mixing console, and a menu that allows users to select from and use many tones, effects, and other features.

Users who want to add more tones to their FANTOMs can download additional tones or tone packages from Roland's online tone library. Tone packages, which usually contain about 30 tones related to a specific music genre or theme, are saved as SDZ files. After downloading an SDZ file, users must place it on a USB drive and use that drive to import the file into their FANTOM.

OPMERKING: In 2020, Roland released an update for JUPITER-X, RD-88, MC-101, and MC-707 devices that allows those devices to also use SDZ files.
