A BR5 file is a 3D scene or animation created with DAZ 3D Bryce 5, a program for creating virtual three-dimensional environments. It contains information about a scene and its objects, such as buildings, people, or animals, in the proprietary Bryce Scene format. Bryce (version 5) users save scenes as BR5 files when creating landscapes with realistic natural elements, such as water, ground, and sky, with real-world lighting effects.

DAZ 3D Bryce is an application for modeling, rendering, and animating 3D landscapes. Bryce scenes may range from simple three-dimensional objects to fully textured landscapes. Bryce users can save BR5 scenes as images or render them as 3D animations.
