A BC file is a file browsing cache created by Adobe Bridge, a program for managing files with Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) applications. It contains metadata automatically generated by the application when a user browses images to summarize image information more quickly during browsing.

BC files are saved with .BCT files, which store image thumbnails for the cache. Adobe Bridge's cache files may be either centralized or distributed, meaning they are stored in one location or distributed to every folder being browsed. Users can set the caching option in the software preferences.

A BC file is a biome configuration file created by OpenTerrainGenerator, a Minecraft modding application used to create custom worlds. It contains plain text data that defines a biome's settings, as well as the custom structures (.BO4 or .BO4DATA files) the biome includes. BC files can be opened and edited in any text editor.

Minecraft Java Edition players can install the OpenTerrainGenerator plug-in and use it to create and load custom Minecraft worlds. Each OpenTerrainGenerator world is generated using one or more BC files. Each BC file defines a biome that a custom world contains.
Each section of a BC file controls a specific aspect of the biome generation process. For example, the BiomeSize: setting controls the biome's size, the BiomeHeight: setting controls the biome's height, and the BiomeVolatility setting controls how hilly the biome is. Creators can control most aspects of how the biome appears, what structures it contains, and what objects it contains using the biome's BC file.
