BLF files are commonly seen in the Windows user directory (C:\Users\[user]\). This is because the Windows component that writes user-level registry information to the NTUSER.DAT file in that directory uses CLFS logging. There may also be .REGTRANS-MS log container files in this directory, which store the log data. Another common location for BLF files is the following directory:
C:\Windows\System32\SMI\Store\Machine\
Base log files are system files that are hidden by default in Windows. In general, you should not modify or delete them, since they can contain important user and system-level information, such as user passwords, account settings, and application settings.
참고: Because CLFS logs are used with transactions, they can potentially be left in an inconsistent state. This has been known to cause issues with Windows updates where BLF files are left in an inconsistent state. Consult the Windows support documentation to resolve this issue.

BLF files provide greater flexibility when creating designs, since users can work at a higher level with shapes and outlines instead of at the lower machine-specific stitch and thread level. This non-destructive editing process enables the designer to export a stitch file at any time without causing any of the original design elements to be changed.

A BLF file is a binary logging format file created by Vector Informatik CANoe or CANalyzer. It contains a record of the events routed through a car's controller area network (CAN). CANoe and CANalyzer users can review the events a BLF file contains or replay the events on a CAN.

Vector Informatik CANoe and CANalyzer allow automobile manufacturers to develop, analyze, and test electronic control units (ECUs) and controller area networks. For example, CANoe and CANalyzer allow users to log all traffic routed through an automobile's CAN to its various ECUs, to check for errors. Users can save these logs in many different file formats, including the BLF format.
The BLF format is message-based, meaning it stores all CAN traffic and metadata about that traffic. BLF files can also be replayed on the CAN from which they originated. In contrast, CANoe and CANalyzer can also save signal-based traffic logs, which store only signal values (with no metadata) and cannot be replayed.
참고: Vector Informatik recommends saving all CANoe and CANalyzer logs in the BLF format.

You can open a BLF file in Vector Informatik CANoe (Windows) or Vector Informatik CANalyzer (Windows). To open a BLF file in CANalyzer, the program must be in offline mode, and you must import the BLF file in the Configuration tab's Measurement Setup window, by clicking the configuration block that is connected to the Offline block.
