SHNファイルとは？
An SHN file stores CD-quality audio compressed by Shorten, a lossless audio compression format developed in the mid-1990s. Shorten compresses audio without removing any sound data, meaning the original audio can be fully restored during playback or decompression. SHN files are now obscure but were once commonly used to share live concert recordings, especially in the early days of online music trading communities.

Users typically created SHN files from .WAV audio and shared them through peer-to-peer networks or tape-trading circles, particularly among fans of jam bands and live performances.
