Security file created by KeepSafe, an Android and iOS application that hides your images and video; contains a video or image that is hidden from the user until the appropriate pin is entered; also appears with the .HID2 file extension.

When you choose a video or image to be hidden, KeepSafe appends a string of numbers preceding the filename and the HID extension on to the end of the file. The extension hides the file from being recognized as what it really is, like a .JPG file, and prevents other applications on the device from recognizing the file.
For example, KeepSafe may save an image file as 8945715774357453030.IMG_11429.JPG.HID. The "8945715774357453030" is a random string of numbers generated by KeepSafe and "HID" is the extension added by the program.
REMARQUE: The HID extension was replaced by the .KSD extension in 2013.

An HID file is a remote configuration file used by a Bluetooth-enabled Sony Ericsson cell phone. It maps keys on the phone to computer commands. Different HID files can be used to control different computer programs, such as audio players, video players, web browsers, etc.

Each Bluetooth-enabled Sony Ericsson phone contains a default HID file. You can also create custom HID files and install them on your phone using Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Remote Control software.
HID files are .TAR archives, each of which contains a .KCF file and a .JPG file. The KCF file is an XML file, which specifies your custom keymapping as plain text.

You can open an HID file and edit the remote configuration it contains in Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Remote Control. After pairing your phone with your computer, you can send the file to your phone by selecting Send To → Bluetooth → YourPhoneName.
If you want to view the KCF and JPG files your HID file contains, you can extract those files using any TAR-decompression utility, such as 7-Zip (Windows) or Apple Archive Utility (Mac). You may first have to change your HID file's extension to .tar.
