An SSEQ file may also be a sequence file created by Synclavier Digital SynclavierX, a digital synthesizer application. It contains musical information, such as notes played, instruments, and tempo, in the Synclavier Sequence (SSEQ) format.
More Information
Synclavier Digital introduced the .sseq file extension as the file extension for its sequence files when it released version 3 of Synclavier in April 2015. The file extension replaced the .sq0data, .sq1data, etc. file extensions. If you have sequence files with these extensions, you can rename them with the .sseq file extension and open them in version 3 or later of Synclavier.
To create an SSEQ sequence file with version 3 or later of Synclavier, select File → Save As.... After saving an SSEQ file, you can close it, then re-open it later to continue modifying the sequence.
NOTE: Synclavier Digital discontinued SynclavierX.
How to open an SSEQ file
You can open an SSEQ file with Synclavier Digital SynclavierX in macOS. To open the SSEQ file with SynclavierX, select the SSEQ file in the "Sound File Import" window or click Sequence Files in the Synclavier Asset Library" window, then select the SSEQ file you would like to open.
