What is a QB2014 file?
File created by QuickBooks for Mac, a financial management application; contains financial data for a company including employee profiles, payroll information, and customer data; can generate tax forms, invoices, financial reports, and more.
If your computer crashes or files become corrupt you can restore your QB2014 company file. When QuickBooks backs up your data, it creates a .DMG file that includes a copy of your QB2014 file and Attached Documents Library folder. To restore your QB2014 company file from a backup:
- Go to your backed up disk image and double-click the icon in order to mount it.
- Drag the QB2014 file wherever you want it located. Put the Attached Documents Library folder in the same location as the QB2014 file as well.
- Open your company file, select QuickBooks → Preferences and choose Attachments.
