If your computer crashes or files become corrupt you can restore your QB2014 company file. When QuickBooks backs up your data, it creates a .DMG file that includes a copy of your QB2014 file and Attached Documents Library folder. To restore your QB2014 company file from a backup:
- Go to your backed up disk image and double-click the icon in order to mount it.
- Drag the QB2014 file wherever you want it located. Put the Attached Documents Library folder in the same location as the QB2014 file as well.
- Open your company file, select QuickBooks → Preferences and choose Attachments.
UWAGA: Previous versions of QuickBooks for Mac use the extensions .QB2013, .QB2012, .QB2011, etc. Although these are called legacy files in the QuickBooks 2014 release.
