What is a PRM file?
File used by various applications for inputting data parameters; often saved in a plain text format and uses a key-value structure where each line has a parameter name followed by a value; most times not compatible between different programs.
Example applications that use PRM files include IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio, GSAS (General Structure Analysis System), Gurobi Optimizer, CodeWarrior, P300 Classifier GUI, and the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system installer.
PRM files saved in plain text format can be opened by text editors, such as Microsoft Notepad, Microsoft WordPad, Apple TextEdit, and gedit.
File Type 2Re-Volt Model File

Three-dimensional model used by Re-Volt, an older RC car racing game for the PC (released in 1999); saves either an "instance" (a game level) or a car part; can be edited with various modding tools to change cars and racing zones.
File Type 3Premiere Plug-in

Plug-in file used by older versions of Adobe Premiere video editing software; allows third-party extensions to be added to the software; adds new features such as extra effects.
File Type 4Route 66 Map File

Map of a country or other area used by Route 66, a mapping and navigation program for Windows Mobile; works with GPS hardware to track a user's location.
Route 66 is also available for Nokia S60 devices. The PRM files should be stored in the "mmcsystemappsRoute66maps" directory.
