What is a PAL file?
Settings file created by Corel Painter, a digital art application; saves the layout of workspace palettes, such as the Mixer, Layers, Color, and Navigator palettes; allows artists to customize screen layouts for different painting needs.
Custom palettes can be saved by selecting Window → Arrange Palettes → Save Layout.... They can be loaded by selecting Window → Arrange Palettes and then choosing a custom palette from the menu. The default arrangement is called "Default."
NOTE: PAL files are not manually saved by the user. Instead Corel Painter uses PAL files to allow the user to load and save palette arrangements through the user interface.
