An FRX file may also be a report used by older versions of FoxPro and Visual FoxPro, which are database management systems developed by Microsoft. It contains information about a report's layout and content, including data fields, page breaks, and embedded objects, such as images, charts, and graphs.
More Information
When you generate a report with Visual FoxPro, the application creates an FRX file to store the main content and formatting. It also creates a corresponding .FRT report memo file to accompany the FRX file, which stores metadata about the report. When previewing or printing reports, the application references both files to render the report correctly.
NOTE: Microsoft discontinued Visual FoxPro after releasing version 9 in 2007.
