What is an FRY file?
3D scene file created by fryrender, a program used for photorealistic light rendering; contains a 3D scene that was exported from a modeling program such as 3ds Max (with the fryrender plug-in); can be processed into a .DSI spectral map file, which then is used to produce the final rendered image.
fryrender plugins are available for 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Lightwave, Rhino, SketchUp, Lightwave, and SoftImage/XSI.
NOTE: fryrender has been discontinued.
