What is a CHPROJ file?
A CHPROJ file contains an animation project created by Adobe Character Animator, a program used to create 2D animations of illustrated characters. It stores information about a project which includes one or more scenes and any characters (known as "puppets"), graphics, sound effects, music, and voiceovers imported into the project. CHPROJ files do not contain actual media, only references to the locations of media files imported into the project.
Character Animator is included with Adobe Creative Cloud and allows you to animate characters based on your movements and templates packaged with the software. You can also import designs from Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
When you save an animation project with Character Animator, the application creates a CHPROJ file to store the contents. You can then close the project, re-open it, and continue editing the project at a later time. To create a CHPROJ file in Adobe Character Animator, select File → New Project..., modify the project, then select File → Save Project or Save Project As....
