What is an AXE file?

Locations file created by Microsoft AutoRoute, a map navigation and trip planning program for Eastern and Western Europe; contains "pushpins," which are Points of Interest (POI) on the map; can also contain navigation data.

AXE files are used for saving map locations and creating navigation routes in Europe. The files can be converted to many different POI data formats using POIConverter.
