What is an AFDESIGN file?
An AFDESIGN file is a design document created by Serif Affinity Designer, a vector graphics design application. It stores a design, which includes one or more image layers, shapes, text, pencil or pen drawings, paint strokes, and other Affinity Designer elements.
Affinity Designer is used to create professional vector designs similarly to Adobe Illustrator. The AFDESIGN file is also similar to the .AI file used by Illustrator in that it is the primary file type associated with the program and is used to store the design and all of its elements. The AFDESIGN file can also be exported to various formats, which include .PNG, .JPG, .GIF, .PDF, .SVG, .EPS, .PSD, and .TIFF.
NOTE: To create an AFDESIGN file in Affinity Designer, select File → Save or Save As....
How do I open an AFDESIGN file?
You can open an AFDESIGN file in Affinity Designer in Windows or macOS by selecting File → Open. You can also open AFDESIGN files with the Affinity Designer app on an iOS device, such as an iPhone or iPad.
