A TDF file describes the format of a corresponding historical weather data set. It is used to import a data set into the ClimGen and CropSyst programs used by the Washington State University Biological Systems Engineering Department. TDF files contain a series of parameters used to convert data sets into ClimGen and CropSyst's .UED format.
更多信息
ClimGen and CropSyst are programs that the Washington State University Biological Systems Engineering Department uses to analyze and extrapolate climate and environmental conditions. These programs use existing historical weather data sets that are saved in UED files.
If a ClimGen or CropSyst user wants to import a data set that is not saved as a UED file, they must first convert the data set into UED format. One of the ways users can convert a data set into UED format is by creating a corresponding TDF, or Tabular Data Format, file. The TDF file describes how data is saved in the to-be-converted data set.
Each TDF file contains up to four primary sections:
- [format]: Describes the overall format of the to-be-converted data set
- [column_headers]: Describes the format of the data set's column headers
- [detail_lines]: Describe's the format of the data set's included data
- [identification]: An optional section used when importing tables that contain identifying information in the detail line
如何打开 TDF 文件
TDF files are plain text files, so you can open and edit them in any text or source code editor, such as Microsoft Notepad (Windows), Apple TextEdit (Mac), or Microsoft Visual Studio Code (cross-platform).
TDF files are meant to be used when importing non-UED data sets into ClimGen and CropSyst, using the UED import wizard. To use a TDF file with the UED import wizard, select the Regular/uniform format ... with Tabular Data Format description button during the import process. Then, select Select files and import.
