Project planning file archive created by Primavera P3, a project planning software often used for construction projects; saves a collection of .P3 files but in a compressed format; used for archival purposes or for sharing project plans with other Primavera users.

You can restore a PRX file to the original P3 files by renaming the ".prx" extension to ".exe" (which changes the file to a self-extracting .EXE file) and then opening the EXE file to extract the P3 files.

注: Primavera P3 was originally developed by Primavera Systems, who was acquired by Oracle. The P3 software, originally released in 1994, was discontinued December 31, 2010.

XML file used by Microsoft Windows multimedia programs for publishing digital video files; stores the audio and video codecs to use, as well as the target bit rates and language; used for publishing videos with the same formatting and quality.

PRX files are referenced by several Microsoft Windows programs, including Windows Media Player, Windows Media Encoder, and Windows Live Movie Maker. They may be edited using the Windows Media Profile Editor, which is included with the Windows Media Encoder installation.

Media profiles are supported by Windows Media Player 9 and later.
