A DJP file is a project file created by the discontinued Ketron DJL Compiler. It contains a plain text list of the audio files included in a DJL Compiler project. DJL Compiler users typically compile DJP files as .DJL (DJLOOP) files.

The Ketron DJL Compiler allows audio enthusiasts to create DJ loops to play with the Ketron Midijay Live Audio Player. Each loop consists of eight WAV files: an Intro, Arrs A - D, a Fill, a Break, and an Ending.
If a user wants to save an in-process DJL Compiler project as a DJP file, they can do so by selecting from the program's menu bar. Each DJP file contains a list of the audio files in that project, including the files' locations. It also stores the project's copyright and tempo/BPM information.

Before it was Ketron discontinued DJL Compiler, you could open a DJP file with DJL Compiler (Windows). If you have access to DJL Compiler, you can open a DJP file by selecting from the program's menu bar. Then, navigate to and open your DJP file.
You can also open a DJP file with any text editor to view its plain text information (which differs from opening it with DJL Compiler).
