Software Overview

Cog is an open source audio player for OS X. The program is developed by Vincent Spader and the last version was released in 2007.

The audio player supports a variety of audio formats, such as .MP3, .FLAC, .AAC, .WAV, .OGG, and .AIFF. The application also supports a number of video game audio formats, including .SPC, .NSF, and .GBS. Cog's interface is simple, it appears similar to iTunes and consists of basic playback options. The application is also friendly towards diverse users, as it's localized for 11 different languages, including German, French, Russian, and Spanish.

Cog is an open source project that provides support to a variety of audio formats, but it doesn’t consist of much more than that. Other audio players for OS X, such as VLC media player and iTunes are better options for audio playback.
