A SISX file is a software installer for Symbian OS 9.1 or later. SISX files are similar to .SIS files, except they are compatible only with devices running Symbian OS 9.1 or later. Developers create SISX files the same way they create SIS files, using the makesis (MakeSIS) and signsis (SignSIS) tools included with the CreateSIS application.
