Wat is een WF4-bestand?
A WF4 file is a project master file created with Wordfast Pro software. It stores preferences for a project in the XML standard and links to source files referenced by the project.

Wordfast Pro is a multiplatform translation and editing application. When saving a project with Wordfast Pro, the app creates a folder with the same name as the project.
The folder stores a master WF4 file with several subfolders that store source files related to the project. Examples of project files a WF4 file stores links to include .RPT report files or .DOCX or .PPTX files a user added to the project.
How to create a WF4 file with Wordfast Pro
To create a WF4 file with Wordfast Pro, select File → Create Project. After saving a project, you can close it, then re-open it for further editing. The default save locations for Wordfast projects in Windows and macOS:
- Windows - C:\Users\[username]\WordfastPro\Projects
- macOS - Macintosh HD/Users/[Username]/Wordfast Pro/Projects
