Wat is een MD1-bestand?

An MD1 file is a CD-ROM Mode 1 (MD1) disc image created by GEAR Software GEAR PRO disc-burning software. It contains a copy of a CD saved in the Mode 1 layout, which includes tracks subdivided into blocks containing header information, and 2048 bytes of data per sector. GEAR PRO users typically save data CD images as MD1 files.

GEAR PRO allows you to manage CD (audio and data), DVD, and Blu-ray images, which includes burning and duplicating discs. When extracting a disc image from a CD, you can save it as an MD1 file. The MD1 format supports any CD-ROM Mode 1 compatible CD image, which includes ISO/Joliet, ISO, ISO/UDF, UDF, Apple HFS, and Unix Native.

You can open an MD1 file with GEAR Software GEAR PRO (Windows) and EZB Systems UltraISO (Windows). To open an MD1 file with GEAR PRO to burn to a CD, follow these steps:

  1. Select Open external physical image in the GEAR Project panel
  2. Click Open
  3. Select Open physical image
