Wat is een DFC-bestand?
A DFC file is an instrument created by Defractor, a software synthesizer program. It is saved in the Defractor Instrument (DFC) format, containing settings created using waveform oscillators, envelope generators, and filters.

Jenner Fusari developed Defractor software in the 1990s as a synthesizer that can create .RAW, .XI, and .WAV samples from instruments. Defractor comes packaged with instruments, which you can find in the Instruments folder in the installation.
You can also create custom instruments and save them with Defractor. To save an instrument as a DFC file, select File → Save Instrument..., choose "Defractor 1.0 Instrument" from the "Save as type" dropdown menu, and click Save.
OPMERKING: The Defractor Enhanced Instrument format (.DF2) format replaced the DFC format, but Defractor still supports DFC files.

You can open a DFC file with Defractor in Windows. To open a DFC file, select File → Open Instrument....
Een DFC-bestand converteren
Defractor can convert DFC files to the Defractor Enhanced Instrument (DF2) format. To convert a DFC file to the DF2 format, select File → Save Instrument..., choose "Defractor Enhanced Instrument" from the "Save as type" dropdown menu, and click Save.

DeSmuME uses its internal BIOS and firmware for loading and executing ROMs. If DesMuME has all of the external BIOS and firmware images loaded it can then perform a full NDS boot. You cannot load an external firmware image for DeSmuME on Linux systems.
OPMERKING: Changing the file extension from ".dsv" to ".sav" may allow a DSV file to be opened by other Nintendo DS emulators.
