Game file created and used by the mobile version of Terraria, a 2D action adventure and sandbox construction game; contains a world that the player interacts with during gameplay; includes terrain, water, items, monsters, and other objects.

The WORLD file may be a pre-installed game map or a custom map created by the user. It is used for single or multiplayer gameplay.

참고: The Windows version of Terraria uses the .WLD extension to save world data.

Game file created by The Sims 3 Create a World (CAW) Tool, a program that allows players to create custom 3D worlds for The Sims 3; stores terrain, roads, sidewalks, path routing information, lots, buildings, artificial Sims, and various kinds of objects; used as the save format for the CAW Tool.

When you are complete with editing a world, you can export it into your local The Sims 3 game by choosing File → Export. You may also share your worlds through The Sims 3 Exchange online.

A WORLD file contains the architecture of an interactive 3D virtual world saved in the proprietary Worlds.com World format. It stores information about the geometry of the world, along with references to surface textures (.BMP and .GIF images), 3D models (RWX or RWG models), sound effects (.WAV or .MID files), and behaviors that make up the world.

You can open WORLD files with WorldsShaper, which can be used to build worlds and save them as WORLD files for sharing with other users. You can also open them with WorldsPlayer a program similar to a web browser that allows you to explore the 3D virtual world saved in a WORLD file.

WORLD files must be distributed with their referenced resource files. If they are not, you may not be able to open the files or parts of the world will be missing.

참고: WorldsShaper and WorldsPlayer were released in the 1990s and are no longer developed.

A WORLD file contains information about a world in Starbound, a 2D space exploration game. It stores world information, such as the planetary location, universe coordinates, and any changes your character in Starbound has made to the world.

WORLD files contain all the modifications a Starbound character has made to the world. The more changes the character has made, the more information is stored and the larger the file size.

WORLD files can be found in the "universe" folder in the "Starbound" folder. For example, if you purchased Starbound through Steam, the WORLD files are stored in the following location in Windows:
