Additionally, users can open the image in RawTherapee later, and the program will automatically load the settings from the PP3 file so they can continue editing or export the image with their previous adjustments.

You can open PP3 files with RawTherapee. To open a PP3 file, select the folder icon in the "Processing Profiles" section in the upper-right corner of the program.
Since PP3 files are saved in plain text, you can also open them with a text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad (Windows) or Apple TextEdit (macOS). You may need to rename the .pp3 file extension to .txt for the text editor to recognize and open it.
When opened in a text editor, you can modify the properties of the PP3 file. However, if you incorrectly modify the file, you may inadvertently corrupt the edits.
