File created by iTWO, a construction planning and engineering software package; contains an archive of a Progress ObjectStore database, which is the backend storage format for iTWO project data; used for creating backups as well as archiving projects.

RPA files are backup copies of the data stored in .RPD files. If a user saves the database in iTWO, the RPD data is archived into the resulting RPA file.

Ren'Py is a game engine used to create visual novels, which are interactive stories that can be played on computers and mobile devices. After a creator finalizes their visual novel, they must package it for distribution. As part of the packaging process, Ren'Py often bundles game assets, such as images and game scripts, into one or more RPA archives.
Bundling game assets in this way reduces their file size. It also prevents malicious players or developers from easily copying or tampering with a game's assets.
