.RRR Estensione file

An RRR file is a game data file used by Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or Grand Theft Auto IV. It contains a path that a game-controlled vehicle follows during a mission. RRR files are stored in carrec.img, a game data archive.

GTA San Andreas and IV use several scripts that control how certain in-game characters and objects behave during story missions. RRR, or R3, files control how non-player-controlled vehicles move. They contain binary data that defines the path a vehicle takes through the game world, ignoring the game's physics and environment. Vehicles moving along these paths do not take damage when they collide with other objects.

While most players will never encounter or need to manually edit a GTA game's RRR files, modders enjoy modifying the game's existing RRR scripts and creating custom RRR scripts of their own. For example, modders can use the Carrec.cs CLEO script to create their own RRR files and add them to a game. Then, they can execute the script to move a vehicle along the path they defined.

GTA modders have created several utilities that allow them to open and edit RRR files. However, none of these utilities are currently available for download. If you want to edit an RRR file, you may want to post in a GTA modding forum and ask for a link to download an RRR editing utility, such as R3D or Car Record Editor SA.

Registry backups may be restored by clicking the "Restore Backup" button in the main program window. It may be necessary to restart the computer for the restored registry entries to load correctly.
