REMARQUE: Nero CoverDesigner was included with Nero Multimedia Suite (beginning with Nero 6.6) but is now also available as a standalone application.

NTI software users commonly create NCD files when making backups, duplicating discs, or storing disc content digitally.

The NTI CD & DVD-Maker and NTI Backup Now programs provide disc burning, data backup, and media management features. They were common during the late 1990s and early-to-mid 2000s, when optical media, such as CDs and DVDs, were the primary means for data storage, sharing, and media distribution. However, NTI no longer develops these programs, making the format obsolete.
