What is a WR1 file?
A WR1 file is a worksheet used by Lotus Symphony, a popular spreadsheet program in the 1980s for the MS-DOS operating system. It stores one or more sheets of data organized into a grid of rows and columns of cells.
Lotus Symphony was developed by Lotus Development, which changed to Lotus Software when it was acquired by IBM in 1995.
How to open a WR1 file
WR1 files are supported only by the MS-DOS version of Lotus Symphony, not the version released in 2007 that goes by the same name. There is no program available that fully supports the WR1 Lotus Symphony Worksheet format.
However, you may be able to open WR1 files with Corel WordPerfect or Corel Quattro Pro. When opened in these programs, the spreadsheet formatting will most likely not be correct, but you will still be able to view the data and save it in a more widely supported format. When attempting to open the WR1 file in either of these programs, be sure to set the file type option to "All Files (*.*)" in the dropdown menu in the Open window.
