.WP6 File Extension

WordPerfect Corporation released version 6 of WordPerfect in 1993. This version of the program was the first to include a graphical editing mode, which showed allowed users to see how their document would appear when printed while editing.

By default, WordPerfect 6 saves users' documents as WP6 files. The WP6 format replaced the .WP5 format and was itself replaced by the .WP7 format.

You can open a WP6 file with Corel WordPerfect (Windows). Current versions of WordPerfect still support the WP6 format. You can also open WP6 files with LibreOffice (multiplatform).

You can use Corel WordPerfect (Windows) or LibreOffice (multiplatform) to convert WP6 files to other formats. Because WordPerfect is the primary program that creates and uses WP6 files, it will give you the best results. WordPerfect can convert WP6 files to many formats, including:
