What is a VEGASWINDOWLAYOUT file?
A VEGASWINDOWLAYOUT file contains settings for a window layout in MAGIX VEGAS Pro, a professional video and audio-editing application. It stores the locations and sizes of user interface panels, which VEGAS Pro users can save to preserve and share the layout of their different user interface (UI) arrangements for different editing needs.

VEGAS Pro (formerly Sony Vegas) features various tools for manipulating video and audio in Windows. To save a window layout as a VEGASWINDOWLAYOUT file, select View → Window Layouts → Save Layout As. VEGAS Pro saves the file in the following directory by default:
C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\VEGAS Pro\[version]\
NOTE: VEGASWINDOWLAYOUT files are not backward compatible with previous software versions. Therefore, you cannot use a layout file created with version 12 of the software in version 11.

You can open VEGASWINDOWLAYOUT files with MAGIX VEGAS Pro in Windows. For example, you can open a VEGASWINDOWLAYOUT file by selecting View → Window Layouts → Organize Layouts.
